Misoriented started as a conversation between two friends, both dissatisfied with their career paths but entirely uncertain about what to do instead.  Speculating that they weren’t the only ones in this boat, they decided to bring their dialogue to the internet. The conversation has expanded to include other social and cultural questions, and they’d love to have you join in.

Liz

Liz, a native of the Detroit area and a graduate of the University of Michigan, recently completed a PhD in the social sciences.  She lives in the Los Angeles area with her husband Robert, whom she met in grad school and who, thankfully, is not going through a quarter-life crisis of any kind.  When not working or writing, Liz voraciously consumes college football, pop culture, and Wikipedia. You can also peruse her personal blog or follow her on Twitter, if you’re into that kind of thing.

Chris

Chris met Liz when they were students at the University of Michigan, where he studied something that has nothing to do with his current career.  After college, Chris decided that he likes wearing suits.  This led him to complete a degree at a prestigious law school followed by a career at a prestigious law firm, only to realize that (a) most companies, even law firms, have converted to business casual as the standard dress code and (b) liking suits was a stupid reason for picking a career.  He currently lives in San Francisco, loves baseball, spends his free time contemplating the ramifications of his past decisions and sadly owns only five suits.
